    • Target Audience: Men aged 50 and older and high risk men (African American men and men with a first degree relative who had prostate cancer) aged 40 and older.

    • Eligibility or Criteria: Low income, insurance that does not pay for prostate screening.
    • The health department partners with local hospitals and physicians to provide screenings in the community.

    Description

    Madison County Health Department provides Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) screenings on Tuesday mornings between 9:00 am and 11:000 am on a walk-in basis. This is a blood test. The health department also has a scheduled screening clinic one time per month for PSA testing and digital rectal exams (DREs). Please call to make an appointment.
